From the glitz and glamour of Waikiki to the rural beaches of Haleiwa, ‘Some Days It Feels Like Yesterday, Some Days It Feels Like Forever Ago’ depicts the contrast between the big city life of Hawaii and its local north shore neighbourhoods that are rarely depicted in modern media. This body of work allows the audience to peek behind the curtain of the tourism daydream that has been built upon for decades into a sun-kissed tropical mirage. These images are from 2019 whilst on assignment for a friend's musical project connected to his family living on the island.
